Game Complete
I've gotten the game into what I feel is a finished state. There are still only three "real" clues - I brainstormed several options for a fourth but in the end couldn't come up with anything that I felt I could write eight entire additional endings for. That's the trouble with combinatorics.
If you poke around in the game's code you'll see a a little piece of dialogue I wrote for the fallen clock on the south wall back when I thought it was going to be a clue. I thought it was cute, but it didn't make it into the final game. Here it is:
A wall clock, now a floor clock...
A working clock, now a broken clock...
The time, says two o'clock...
But my watch, says three...
I believe it's also the only time the narration uses any first person pronouns. It was already implied that we're privy to Sholmes's internal dialogue because it's written in almost the same way as his speech is, but this would have made it explicit.
